Football up to date

Above are some of the most recent projects I have completed for my internship with Gamecock Football. All of the designs were done in photoshop and the personalized one- with Robert Beal Jr. on it had over 100 layers in the document by the time it was done.

The first one, spring playbook, was rather simple. It takes a cut out of one of our football players from a photo taken during their fall photo shoot and overlays it on top of a couple different backgrounds with some Garnet and White watercolor brush strokes in the background. The text was then overlaid with a gradient and stacked to make playbook larger and in front so it looked almost 3D in the way it stood out.

The second one, the banners (as I called the project) with Robert Beal Jr.’s name on it was one of the more extensive templates i have created in a while. The design was developed to mock the style of banners that hang in or on the side of stadiums. This project required a lot of careful layering and ordering of the different elements in order to make it look correct. This was also one of the harder projects because in order to eventually customize the project for recruits I had to change the skin color of the pictures (who were all initially white) into both a tan and black shade. This project taught me a lot about patience and dealing with different layers as well as a few new techniques to manipulate the skin tones.

Lastly, the offensive notebook is just a binder cover that the players and coaches can use to keep track of what is inside. Much like the first one it uses a cut out of a player and overlays it onto a few different garnet stripes and a textured background. The 2017 is then outlined with a stroke and a blend mode is applied to make it react and look shiny.
